When the company I work at opened it’s first manufacturing facility in the Middle East, we launched a landing page to introduce our regional capabilities to a market that was not familiar with our brand.

The goal was to increase awareness in the region and drive potential customers to learn more about our manufacturing presence and services.

Why the Original Landing Page Was Under performing

After launching the landing page, we realized that it was not generating the level of traffic we were expecting. Since the page was created to support our regional expansion efforts, low traffic meant that we are not reaching enough potential customers in the Middle East market.

Turning an Industry Event Into a Marketing Opportunity

Around the same time, a major industry event was approaching and we began planning a marketing campaign around it. Since the landing page was under performing, we saw this event as an opportunity to improve the page and make it part of the overall campaign.

I have previous Field Note that focused on the marketing plan I used for this event you should check it out so you connect the dots Field Note#5.

Before making any updates, we first identified our main objective. We wanted to increase traffic to the landing page while also building awareness of our new manufacturing presence in the Middle East region.

How We Optimized the Landing Page

Using insights from our sales and commercial teams about our target customer, we updated the page content and improved the overall user experience. We focused on placing the most relevant information at the top of the page, making the content easier to scan and navigate, adding localized visuals from our regional manufacturing facility, and including in-region contact information to make the experience more relevant to local customers.

Using Google and LinkedIn Ads to Drive Traffic

Once the updated landing page was ready, we used paid advertising through Google and LinkedIn to drive targeted traffic to the page. The ads were designed to direct users to the landing page as the main destination of the campaign.

Results and Key Takeaways

After the event campaign ended, we analyzed the landing page performance to evaluate whether we had achieved our main objective.

The results showed a clear improvement in traffic to the landing page, along with an increase in contact form submissions. More importantly we began receiving inquiries related to specific projects and products from key customers in the region.

This demonstrated that updated landing page was not only attracting more visitors, but also generating meaningful engagement and business interest.

One of the biggest lessons from this experience was that creating a landing page alone is not enough to generate results. A successful landing page needs a clear objective, relevant content and a strategy that supports it.
